Vote: How early is too early for Halloween decor?

• There's no universally accepted start to the spooky season, though it's a contentious topic.

👻 Annalise's thought bubble: I'm just following the lead of my partner, who has been really, really into Halloween crafts this year (shoutout Arts & Scraps). But honestly, it's a win for me if the decorations get up at all — fall is busy.

• Joe: The earlier the better. Halloween just seems to bring the creativity out of people, and I love to see it.

Some of our Axios colleagues have embraced the all-season Yule Ghoul.

Reality check: If your neighbor's 16-foot inflatable Grim Reaper is making an appearance at their Fourth of July pool party, you may have a case that it's a little early.

Your turn: When do you start decorating for Halloween? If you see decor outside a neighbor's house in early September, do you roll your eyes?
