🎨 Funky Ferndale + DIY Street Fair: Downtown Ferndale basically becomes one giant arts-and-music festival this weekend, with Funky Ferndale west of Woodward and DIY Street Fair to the east. Friday-Sunday.

🎬 Detroit Black Film Festival: The five-day festival continues through Sunday with screenings at the Wright Museum, Detroit Historical Museum and other venues, plus an awards ceremony Sunday.
🎺 Marcus Elliot celebrates Coltrane: The Detroit saxophonist leads a 10-piece ensemble through a contemporary reworking of John Coltrane's "Africa/Brass" for his centennial at the DIA.

💵 Cash Money & No Limit: A ridiculous nostalgia lineup — Birdman, Master P, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, B.G., Silkk the Shocker and more — takes over Little Caesars Arena. Friday, 8pm.
🎭 Michael Shannon & friends: Actor Michael Shannon and Jason Narducy bring their music project, a celebration of R.E.M.'s "Lifes Rich Pageant," to the Majestic, with Bobcat Goldthwait opening.

🌞 Radiant Detroit: Downtown's Beacon Park hosts an all-ages festival with youth poetry, live music, art-making, yoga, hustle lessons, cardio drumming and food trucks.

🕯️ DIA Ofrendas: The DIA's annual Día de Muertos exhibition opens Saturday, featuring altars created by local artists and community members. It runs through Nov. 1.
🎥 "Best in Show" outdoors: Campus Martius hosts a free Friday-night screening of the cult dog-show comedy as part of a Detroit-Windsor film partnership. 7pm.
