Chicken Shack rolls out crispier tenders

• A crispier batter now coats the tenders, the company says.

What I ordered: The three-piece tender meal ($9.99), which comes with a side, some bread and a drink.

• I went to the Royal Oak location on Woodward Avenue near 13 Mile Road.

The verdict: The tenders had a nice crunch without tasting burnt or overcooked, and the chicken was indeed quite tender. I wasn't super familiar with the old recipe, but these were great.
