What Michigan put in the America250 time capsule

• It's set to be buried July 4 in Philadelphia and will remain sealed until America's 500th birthday in 2276.

Zoom in: Michigan included a letter from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and a decorative dollar piece featuring an old automotive assembly line.

• There's also a Petoskey stone and a chunk of copper as a nod to our mining history and Indigenous culture.

💭 Our thought bubble: Solid choices, but we think Michigan could have gotten creative with additional cultural items.

• Perhaps some Motown sheet music, a Tigers baseball and a bag of Better Made potato chips (hey, maybe they'd last).
