The votes are in — Miller's Bar in Dearborn triumphed as the best Metro Detroit burger in our bracket.

The latest: Miller's trounced Corktown's Mercury Burger & Bar with 69% of the more than 60 votes, after making it past Motz's sliders and another well-known suburban favorite, Redcoat Tavern.
- Slider sellers were popular with readers in early rounds, but only full-size patties made it to the finals.
The intrigue: Readers apparently side with "The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon, who tried Miller's burger when he taped a show in Detroit last year and called it "the best burger I've ever had," per the Free Press.
Flashback: Miller's has a long history, opening in 1941 by George Miller. His nephews were responsible for earning Miller's its local and eventually national reputation as a go-to, no-frills burger spot.
- The family-owned business went up for sale in 2021 as the Millers sought to retire, and eventually it sold to new owner Allie Mallad in 2024, Eater reported.
The bottom line: This bracket made us think deeply about what separates a stupendous burger from an average one. Seasonings? Bun integrity? Cheese or sauce choice?
