Dusty May broke U-M fans' hearts yesterday when they learned he's leaving Ann Arbor to coach the NBA's Dallas Mavericks.
Why it matters: May and the Wolverines won the school's first basketball national championship since 1989 just a couple months ago, beating UConn 69-63 in Indianapolis.
What's next: U-M is preparing to hire assistant coach Mike Boynton Jr. as interim head coach ahead of the 2026-27 season, the Free Press reports.
