Spirit Plaza reopened Saturday after a seven-month, $2.9-million renovation project.
Why it matters: The mini urban park has a new covered stage, a larger play area, a turf lawn and more shade with additional seating.
Flashback: The plaza was established in 2017 on a stretch of Woodward Avenue at the foot of city hall, between Larned Street and E. Jefferson Avenue.
What's next: A grand reopening celebration on June 6, 10am-8pm.
