Techno pioneers Belleville Three collab with Pistons

A new clothing collaboration between the Pistons and The Belleville Three, a trio of local techno music pioneers, drops on Sunday.

Why it matters: The trio of Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson, along with other Detroit artists in the 1980s, led techno's rise to an international movement.

• The partnership is part of the Pistons' celebration of Black History Month.

State of play: Designed in partnership with local artist and DJ Sheefy McFly, the "retail capsule" including a hat, T-shirt and hoodie will be available on Pistons313Shop.com and at the Detroit Pistons Team Store at Little Caesars Arena.

If you go: The Belleville Three will perform alongside the Pistons Jit Team at halftime of Sunday's 6pm home game against the Brooklyn Nets.
