How to vote on primary day in Detroit

🗳 Polls are open Tuesday from 7am-8pm.

• If you have a photo ID, you must bring it to the polls. But if you don't have one, you can still vote.
• Confirm your Detroit City Council district and polling place. For 44,000 Detroit voters, their district has changed due to redistricting.
• View your ballot.

If you still have your absentee ballot, you can take it to your local clerk's office or a drop box.

By the numbers: The last Detroit mayoral primary, in August 2021, saw a turnout of about 14%. City Clerk Janice Winfrey told reporters she expects 13%-18% this time, but "we're hoping for better."
