🏳️🌈 Hotter Than July, the city's annual Black LGBT+ celebration, is hosting a series of daily events all weekend:
- A film festival Thursday at 6pm at the Northwest Activities Center.
- A mayoral candidate forum at 8:30am Friday at the U of M Detroit Center.
- A free picnic at Palmer Park on Saturday from noon-6pm.
🐲 A block party to honor and revive the city's Chinatown neighborhood is Saturday from noon to 8pm at Cass Avenue and Peterboro Street.
- DJs, cultural performances, local food vendors and family-friendly activities will be happening throughout the day.

🥳 Beacon Park's monthly Music & Markets event is Saturday from 6-10pm, with house music, food trucks and a large screen playing the Detroit City FC game.

🎤 Local R&B star Kem, who recently split from Motown, is playing back-to-back shows on Friday and Saturday at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre with Chanté Moore.

🛍️ A vintage market will fill up the Fisher Building on Saturday from 11am-5pm with a curated selection of clothing, accessories, and home decor.

🥊 Flint's own Claressa Shields faces Lani Daniels for the Undisputed Heavyweight World Championship on Saturday at 6pm at Little Caesars Arena.

🐶 Island vibes and adoptable dogs are front and center at Detroit Animal Care and Control's first-ever Adoption Luau.

⚾ The Tigers return to Comerica Park Thursday for a four-game homestand against the Blue Jays through Sunday.
