👋 Among Southwest Detroit's many marvelous food trucks is Coronados Southwest Tacos, a mobile restaurant claiming its spot in front of an AutoZone.
The vibe: The truck is inviting, with a striped awning and picnic tables. The large menu is dotted with Coronados' family recipes from Jalisco, Mexico, per its website.
- I considered the tacos, burrito and quesabirrias, but opted for a lunchtime torta with carne asada ($10).
Dig in: The sub was messy, but worth every moment, loaded with marinated steak, avocado, sauce, jalapenos, lettuce and more.
The intrigue: As someone who finds auto shops incredibly stressful, maybe grabbing a taco after would help dull the pain. Something to consider.
Stop by: Sunday-Thursday, 11am-9pm; Friday and Saturday, 11am-10pm.
