The College for Creative Studies' annual student exhibition is returning, with both Midtown campuses turning into galleries.
Why it matters: The annual tradition that started a century ago is a prime opportunity to experience a wide range of art from young creatives.
More than 3,000 works of photography, fashion design, interior design, studio art and more will be on display in the annual tradition that began in 1926, per a press release.
If you go: The student exhibition's opening is May 16 from 6-10pm with light food, drinks and live entertainment. Admission is $50 in advance or $60 at the door.
There will be art at the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education and the Walter and Josephine Ford Campus, with shuttles in between.
After the opening, the exhibition will run from May 17 to May 30.
Flashback: The private, nonprofit art school started as the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts in 1906, per CCS's website.
Now, the school offers a range of degrees including fashion design, art education, photography, illustration and more.
