🎥 Best Detroit scene: Most of the movie looks like it was shot elsewhere, but downtown and the riverfront get some screen time during an opening-credits montage with a lot of generic auto assembly footage.

💭 Joe's thought bubble: This movie gave me a new appreciation for Weathers, who passed away last year.

• Despite his character's cliched traits — a witty, street-wise cop who plays by his own rules — Weathers steals the show with his acting chops and stunning physique.
• The cheesiness is out of control, but that's what makes it fun.
• Detroit isn't featured that much, though.
