Republican U.S. Rep. John James is again facing Democratic challenger Carl Marlinga to represent the 10th District in Metro Detroit.
State of play: The district, which leans slightly Republican, includes southern Macomb County and parts of Oakland County.
The intrigue: James defeated Marlinga in 2022 by less than 1 percentage point, according to Bridge Michigan.
