The Tigers got the party started early Wednesday. We still have the weekend ahead.
- Here's what's happening:
🍎 Cider in the City at Beacon Park brings the vibe of a cider mill downtown, with hot cider, pumpkins, caramel apples, fall cocktails and craft beer.
- Saturday and Sunday, 1-5pm.
- Preorders are available for pickup.
🌳 Free trees will be available to Detroit, Highland Park and Hamtramck residents from The Greening of Detroit.
- Four hundred potted trees will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Friday from 3-6pm at the Wayne County Family Aquatic Center at Chandler Park.
🍁 Belle Isle's Harvest Festival features face painting, hay rides, crafts and fall treats.
- Saturday, noon-4pm.
🏒 The Red Wings season opener is Thursday at 8pm at Little Caesars Arena against the Pittsburgh Penguins. They play again at home on Saturday at 7pm against the Nashville Predators.
- Opening night tickets on the secondary market are around $50 and up.
- Tickets for the Predators game are available for about $30.
📽️ Jim Henson's Labyrinth: In Concert is a chance to experience the full movie with a live band accompaniment.
- Saturday at 7pm at the Masonic Cathedral Theatre.
- Tickets start at $44.50.
🦁 Detroit Shipping Company is throwing a Lions tailgate party for Sunday's road game against the Dallas Cowboys, with food and drink specials, raffle prizes and music.
- Sunday at 3:30pm, 474 Peterboro St.
🎹 Funk band Chromeo is playing at the Royal Oak Music Theatre at 7pm on Friday.
- Tickets start at $39.50.
🎤 Maxwell brings his Serenade tour to Little Caesars Arena at 7:30pm on Friday.
- Available tickets start at about $80.
