If you're worried about boredom this weekend, fear not β there's an overwhelming number of things to get up to!
π¦ΈββοΈ You may not have known Saturday is National Batman Day, but now that you do, why not celebrate the savior of Gotham with showings of the "Dark Knight" trilogy at Emagine theaters in Canton, Novi, Rochester Hills and elsewhere?
- Saturday, with "Batman Begins" starting at 1pm, "Dark Knight" at 4pm and "Dark Knight Rises" at 7:15pm. $25 at the box office (not online) for the three movies, unlimited popcorn and a drink.
π Attend a Detroit Day of Fashion event for a hearty dose of style. Local designers will show off their creations on the runway, plus there will be music, vendors, and food. Beer and wine are complimentary.
- Tomorrow, 6pm. Standing room is sold out but seating is $30 with a swag bag provided.
π Experience lively, loud burlesque with Rouge Reveal Homecoming at Ant Hall in Hamtramck, with live music backing the performers.
- Tomorrow, 8pm. Tickets are $25 online and $30 at the door.
π§ββοΈ Travel to Cedar Point for the classic HalloWeekends festivities, with haunted mazes, themed food and creepy vibes. If you go, please let us know β is it scary?

πΈοΈ Speaking of creepy vibes, Glenlore Trails in Commerce Township starts its "magical Halloween adventure" forest walk this weekend.
- Thursdays through Sundays until Nov. 3. General admission starts at $20.
ποΈ Join Detroit's techno scene at a record release party for Snow Crash Nebula, a nonprofit compilation of original tracks from local artists.
- Tomorrow, 9pm-2am. $17.15 cover charge.
π½οΈ Check out the Better Cities Film Festival, centered around urban planning and improving cities for residents.
- There will be screenings and activities through Sunday. Prices vary, from free events to $15 individual tickets and $75 festival passes.
πΌοΈ It's a packed second-to-last weekend for the Detroit Month of Design. This weekend's events include a maker market at City Bird and Nest in Midtown from 12-5pm on Saturday; an open studio at Grand on River with printmaking, metal, furniture and fiber artists from 2-6pm Saturday; and a dye and textile workshop at a farm at 1pm Sunday.
