Motown Museum eyes 2026 expansion opening

• "What's critical about $70 million is that it means we get to work. This construction is starting," Motown Museum Chairwoman and CEO Robin Terry told the Free Press. "We no longer have the concern of further escalations, which is critical to projects like this."

Catch up quick: The museum, at 2648 West Grand Blvd., was founded in 1985 and is located in Motown Records' original headquarters and recording studio. It houses artifacts, photos, costumes and other memorabilia.
