The Tampa Bay Buccaneers return to Ford Field on Sunday for a rematch of last season's playoff loss to the Lions.
- Kickoff is at 1pm on Fox 2.
📋 Bucs scouting report: Like Detroit (1-0), the Bucs won their season opener last week, defeating the Washington Commanders, 37-20.
- Tampa Bay has a potent passing attack — led by quarterback Baker Mayfield and wide receiver Mike Evans — that gave Detroit's defense problems in the playoff game.
- The Bucs, however, will be without All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield Jr., who injured his ankle last week. Three other Tampa defensive backs were also injured, so the Lions should be able to air it out on offense, too.
👀 Player to watch: Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had an uncharacteristically quiet game last week (three catches for 13 yards). Expect him to put up big numbers as he and quarterback Jared Goff continue to find their early-season rhythm.
🗣️ Quote of the week: "Honestly, this isn't something that I'm circling, this isn't something that's personal for me," Lions cornerback Carlton Davis III, who was traded to Detroit from Tampa Bay in the offseason, told the Free Press about playing his old team.
- "I more so want to win this game for the 2024 Detroit Lions than I am trying to get payback or anything like that."
🔮 Joe's prediction: Lions go up big early and hold on for a comfortable 10-point win, 34-24.
