The elevated casual vibe of Leña, Brush Park's newest restaurant, certainly fits that of the affluent neighborhood.
👋🏼 Sam here. The Spanish-inspired restaurant that opened last month adds to the area's date-night options with a vegetable- and seafood-focused menu.
State of play: My very polite waitress recommended the most popular sharing plate: Iberico ham with Better Made potato chips. It comes with piparra peppers and without them. I'd have expected this dish to be half its $32 price.
- But with some research, I learned that Iberian pigs are slow-growth animals, meaning they aren't fed hormones or fattened with industrial corn, so reaching slaughter weight takes double the amount of time. Fancy!
- I ordered the swordfish brocheta ($40) for my entree, which included peppers and onions that came perfectly chargrilled.
