The intrigue: The Mexicantown staple has been a local favorite for nearly two decades, serving tacos, ceviche tostadas, quesadillas and burritos like this one — which was about the same size as my head.
State of play: I parked in the parking lot where the truck is set up instead of the street, where other people were eating their meals.
- I ordered the mar y tierra (surf and turf) burrito for $13 and waited for about six minutes before being called while waiting in my car.
- The burrito was stuffed with grilled steak, shrimp, mozzarella cheese, grilled onions and tons of guacamole.
Details: You can add just about any meat, from chicken, al pastor and ground beef to pork stomach, beef head and tongue.
