Iowa State Fair may turn its new slogan into a snack

The Iowa State Fair is considering handing out bags of chips next year — a literal riff on its newly announced 2027 theme, "It's All That."

Catch up fast: The theme tees up one of the most recognizable lines of the 1990s: "all that and a bag of chips."

Behind the scenes: In response to our link to the new theme last week, Axios reader Kristin Haar of Johnston suggested that the fair offer chips with admission.

We asked, and fair spokesperson Mindy Williamson said organizers were already considering it.

Flashback: The phrase means something especially impressive and was popularized by the television show "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" in the 1990s.

The real question: Can they put a bag of chips on a stick?
