Ewing Park Lilac Arboretum is expected to reach peak bloom this weekend.
Details: The 35-acre site features more than 1,000 lilac shrubs across 250 varieties.
This is the arboretum's 79th year. It was designated in 1939 and opened to the public in 1947.
Go: Harry Piper Parkway — a scenic drive through the arboretum — is open daily, 6am to 10pm.
