Thrasher's Hardware building is up for sale

Flashback: Thrasher's Hardware opened in 1963 when Virgil Thrasher took over an existing hardware store. For nearby residents, it was the go-to spot to purchase everyday goods.

State of play: Connolly says he originally expected the property to attract someone who wanted to demolish the dilapidated building and redevelop the site.

• Instead, potential buyers have reached out with sentimental attachments, he says.
• While the condition of the building is in "rough shape," he says it still maintains its wood floors and metal tile ceilings.

What's next: Prospective buyers have expressed interest in using the building for retail and office space, as well as single-tenant and multi-tenant configurations, Connolly says.
