Earlier this month, an American woodcock flew into a window at Central Library, prompting staff to call Iowa Bird Rehabilitation to rescue her and help with her concussion.
She's doing well now and expected to fly soon.
Fun fact: The "Lizzy" graffiti was already on the wall and inspired library staff to name her "Lizzy — the punk rock woodcock."
