Foundry Lofts, a proposed $15 million project, goes before Des Moines' Urban Design Review Board this morning.
Details: Construction of the four-story, 46-unit project could begin this spring at 509 SE Sixth St. — Near Truman's KC Pizza Tavern and the upcoming Market District.
The majority of units will be two- or three-bedroom.
Preliminary financial terms propose just over $954,000 in city incentives, which the DSM estimates will generate more than twice that amount in additional taxes over 30 years.
What's next: The board's recommendations will be considered by the City Council.
The project's anticipated completion is late 2027.
