Aye, it was a mighty (or at least interesting) fight.
But the battle over who gets to be the sole "D" logo in town has ended in a settlement between Drake University and Des Moines Area Community College.
State of play: Officials from both schools resolved their year-long trademark tiff outside of the court system, according to statements from DMACC and Drake.
They did not share the terms of the settlement. The DMACC board met yesterday morning in closed session to discuss litigation and voted to approve a settlement agreement.
The bottom line: We're glad to see the D-bate over D-sign end in D-cency.
