Meet Griff III, a 9-month-old English bulldog pup who is currently receiving "paws-on" training from his predecessor, Griff II.
Catch up fast: After six years of service, Drake's beloved live mascot Griff II is retiring in May.
While Griff II is in "great health," it's time for him to enjoy "a well-deserved retirement full of snoozing, snacks, and snuggles," according to Drake.
What's next: Griff III will make his first public appearance at half court during a planned time-out in the first half of the men's basketball game against UAB in the Knapp Center, beginning at 6:30pm tonight.
