The Pappajohn Sculpture Park is undergoing rehabilitation work, jump-started by a $113,000 grant from Prairie Meadows, per the Des Moines Art Center.
Driving the news: A crew started working on preserving art at the park yesterday, beginning with Nomade, the 27-foot-tall human-shaped sculpture.
The big picture: The art center is raising $500,000 for the project, including adding more accessible pathways, signage and protection from outdoor elements.
