The best thing Linh ate: Poke bowl

I was so sad when The Poke Company closed last year and have been on the hunt for a new spot ever since.

• But now I go to 3 Bears Tea, a bubble tea shop just outside Jordan Creek mall, for a fresh poke bowl at a decent price ($11.90).

What it is: Your own customizable bowl, including rice or salad as a base and salmon, tuna or shrimp as the protein.

• You can add a wide range of included toppings, including tamago (Japanese-style eggs), edamame, seaweed, cucumber, jalapeno, onions and carrots.
• You also pick a sauce, ranging from eel to spicy mayo (or even ranch for committed Iowans.)

What I liked: The fish was fresh and there was a decent amount of food in my bowl.

• It was a filling and healthy alternative compared to the typical Chipotle bowl I may pick up on a Sunday afternoon.
