Mulberry parking garage no longer free in evenings, weekends

The Wells Fargo parking garage — a beloved spot for Farmers' Market and downtown goers — is no longer free, according to a Keck Parking official.

State of play: Starting this week, drivers need to pay $115 for a monthly access card for the garage. Daily parking will be available in the future as well.

Previously, the public could use the parking garage after 5pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends.

The big picture: Wells Fargo sold its downtown campus last month for $32 million, including its office buildings, two empty lots, and yes, the parking garage at 9th and Mulberry streets.

Iowa holding company DMCRE1 purchased the properties, the Business Record reports.
