Jerusalem Bakery, a family-run business founded by Amro Luai, is bringing fresh-baked breads to the Downtown Farmers' Market tomorrow.
How it started: Luai, who is Palestinian, launched the bakery over a year ago with the goal of serving breads and sweets that are hard to find in the metro, including Bosnian, Iraqi and Middle Eastern treats.
Everything is made from scratch by his family, including pita breads. This is their first year at the downtown market.
They also make Mexican tortillas, Luai says.
The intrigue: They also sell 100% organic, extra virgin olive oil imported from the Middle East that people can sample.
If you go: The stand will be there most Saturdays and alternate between 4th and 5th streets.
