The owners of Zenko Tea, a local boba business, shared surveillance videos from their Waukee and Des Moines stores to show some of the hardships of owning a small business.
Driving the news: On Monday, Chau Vu shared a video showing two teenagers playing Jenga in Zenko's Waukee location.
His wife, Phuong Thai, was working behind the counter with their 6-month-old child. But before the two teenagers left, the surveillance video shows them throwing Jenga pieces over the counter at Thai and their baby, according to the post.
Then that same day, someone stole the tip jar from their Merle Hay location, Vu shared.
What they're saying: Waukee Police Chief Chad McCluskey confirmed they received a report about the Jenga incident and said they're early in their investigation.
The bottom line: Thai says she wants the chance to speak with the teenagers in person.
"At that age, we all made mistakes," she shared on Facebook. "What truly matters is how we acknowledge those mistakes and grow from them."
