Kevin, who was just named the world's tallest dog by Guinness World Records, died this week, according to the organization.
State of play: The West Des Moines pet achieved the record after measuring 3 feet, 2 inches tall.
On his hind legs, Kevin stood a gargantuan 7 feet tall.
What they're saying: He passed away following an unplanned surgery after he became ill.
"Our whole family is devastated about Kevin. He was just the best giant boy!" said his owner, Tracy Wolfe, in a statement to Guinness. "We are so glad that he was able to break the record and have that light on him. He absolutely adored the attention."
🙏 Our thought bubble: Here's hoping they have tall ceilings in doggy heaven.
