Hidden Valley β the keepers of the buttermilk and herb condiment β envision nearly infinite new ways to sell ranch, The Wall Street Journal reports in an A-hed feature.
"We want there to be ranch occasions at every hour of the day," said Nick Higgins, the general manager of food business for Clorox, which owns the Hidden Valley brand.
By the numbers: Around 40% of Americans named ranch as their favorite condiment, according to a 2018 New York Times story.
Driving the news: To that end,the company is rolling out several new products, experimenting with far more, working with food influencers and "super tasters," and tracking 100,000 restaurant menus in search of new trends that might be openings for more ranch.
