If you're looking for weekend brunch, consider indulging in some dim sum at Wong's Chopsticks in Johnston.

State of plate: The popular Chinese meal involves ordering lots of little plates and sharing them family-style.

  • Make no mistake: The homemade dim sum here outshines many of the more expensive restaurants in bigger cities, even though the menu is smaller.
  • Imagine warm steamed buns, crispy fried dumplings and savory, garlic vegetables.

What I like to order: Spareribs ($3.25), porridge ($2.50), steamed BBQ pork buns ($3), pot stickers ($6.95), fried dumpling ($3.85), sweet custard buns ($3) and Chinese broccoli ($8.95).

And keep in mind: This isn't a quick lunch. It takes a little while to make the food from scratch. (But you can also do takeout!)

Open: 11am to 9pm Tues-Sun.

  • Dim sum is served 11am to 2pm Sat., 9am to 2pm Sun.
