Angry Goldfish's poutine is an indulgent and savory treat that Axios Des Moines reporter Linh Ta orders every time she's at the southside restaurant.
- She's eaten poutine in Montreal, Toronto and the Iowa State Fair, but she can confidently say Angry Goldfish's version is one of the best ever.
What makes it great: It's served hot enough to make the white cheddar curds ooey gooey. The gravy is thick with a hearty beef flavor, and bits of brisket take it from a cheap appetizer to an exceptional plate.
- Plus: You can get a small order for $5.50, or a large for $8.
