A new summer art market launched last week at Des Moines' Uptown Shopping Center.

  • It's open Saturdays through September, 9am-1pm, at 4100 University Ave.

The kickoff included the unveiling of four new mosaic murals by DSM artist Nicole K. James, which were paid for by Invest DSM and AARP Iowa.

They'll be permanently displayed at these locations:

  • Taste! To Go Catering and Events, 4700 University Ave.
  • Campbell's Nutrition, 4040 University Ave.
  • Midwest Financial Consultants, 1903 46th Street.
  • Snookies Malt Shop, 1810 Beaver Ave.
