MAKFam's second location revealed

Michelin-recommended MAKFam is growing up and out.

Dig in: The fast-casual Chinese restaurant is expanding with a second, larger spot in Five Points, the DBJ reports.

• MAKFam is the brainchild of celebrated chef Kenneth Wan, a three-time James Beard Award semifinalist.

Between the lines: Its original South Broadway outpost earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand nod in 2024, recognizing restaurants that deliver standout food at a good value.

Wan and his wife Doris Yuen, co-own the restaurant. The new location will offer a few upgrades from the original, including a full bar and reservations.

What's next: The new restaurant is set to open by the end of the year, per the DBJ.
