Millennials are closing in on their Gen X counterparts when it comes to the share of Coloradans getting Botox, according to data shared with Axios.
The big picture: The gap between the two generations is shrinking nationwide, as wrinkle-smoothing injections become nearly as common as hair salon visits.
By the numbers: Millennials make up 31% of Botox patients in Colorado β just nine points shy of Gen Xers, per data from medical aesthetics firm Qsight.
That's below Millennials' national average of 35%.
What we're hearing: Younger patients are increasingly seeking "preventive" treatments, Rebecca Small, a physician who specializes in advanced aesthetic services, told Axios.
Specifically, lip fillers and Botox shots into jaw muscles for a slimming effect are on the rise.
