Denver's "Love Is Blind" cast revealed

Netflix announced the cast and an Oct. 1 premiere date for the latest season of its reality show "Love Is Blind," based in Denver.
Why it matters: We are cringing 😬 at the thought of how Denver's dismal dating scene — let alone the city — are going to be portrayed.
The vibe: This is "Love Is Blind's" ninth season, so we all know that drama and strong personalities drive the 12-episode series. (See teaser.)
- The contestants' ages range from 28 to 39 and their professions are broad, running from a luxury watch dealer to a hairstylist. (Full list in link below.)
- The first six episodes debut Oct. 1 with more released each Wednesday. The finale airs Oct. 22.
How it works: For the uninitiated, singles "meet" in separate pods that don't allow you to see how the other looks. They gab for hours (often with alcoholic drinks in hand) and try to get to know each other "blind" by asking plenty of questions through the wall.
- In the end, contestants pick a match and make a marriage proposal. Only after the proposal are they allowed to see each other in person.
- The matching couples then do a boozy vacay where regrets and what-ifs are all the talk before re-entering "the real world," where they live together in Denver and plan their weddings.
- The moment of truth is at the altar where they decide whether to say "I do."
The bottom line: It's a binge-worthy show. So pop the popcorn.
