Colorado players to watch at the NFL combine

Zoom in: Four players from the University of Colorado and one from Colorado State University earned an invitation.

Meet the players:

Jimmy Horn Jr. (wide receiver, Colorado)

• Horn started in 11 games during the Buffs breakout season last year, though he missed most of the final three games due to injury. He still finished the season with 37 receptions for 441 receiving yards and one touchdown, per the university.

Tory Horton (wide receiver, Colorado State)

• The Rams' receiver collected 26 receptions for 353 yards and one touchdown after his season was cut short by an unspecified injury last year. But his impressive overall career could land him on an NFL roster.

Travis Hunter (defensive back/wide receiver, Colorado)

• Arguably college football's best player last season, the 2024 Heisman Trophy Winner is viewed as a potential first-overall pick for April's NFL draft. His explosive offensive and defensive talent make him a standout.

Shedeur Sanders (quarterback, Colorado)

• Sanders, another top prospect likely to go in the first round of the NFL draft, reportedly won't work out at the combine. The Colorado signal caller will skip drills like throwing but meet with teams at the event, per ESPN.

LaJohntay Wester (wide receiver, Colorado)

• Wester, who transferred to CU from Florida Atlantic, put up monster numbers in his only season in Boulder: 74 receptions for 931 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense.
