🎄 Everitt Farms Christmas Trees in Lakewood, known for its hot cocoa stand, s'mores over the campfire and a $5-drive-thru light display every weekend.
🎄 Nice Fresh Christmas Trees, which has six different farms, claims to have the state's largest tree lot and grows evergreens up to 16 feet tall.
Fun fact: With a permit, you can harvest your own tree from a handful of Colorado's national forests.
By the numbers: If you're wondering when the best time to buy is, Christmas tree prices peak around Thanksgiving and mostly fall thereafter, new data shows.
- According to data from payments firm Square, the average Christmas tree sold for a high of around $131 on Thanksgiving last year and fell to about $55 by Christmas Eve.
