Meet Tater, Grandview's newly elected dog mayor

• The race comes from a partnership between the city and The Wag dog park and bar.

🎉 The latest: At an event Friday afternoon, "Grandview girl" Tater was crowned winner of the inaugural election.

• She was sworn in and gave an acceptance speech on the spot.

The intrigue: Tater ran on a jam-packed platform:

• 🦴 The Winans Biscuit Accord: "Make the current biscuit a permanent entitlement, with a second for dogs who sit without being asked."
• 🏊 Dog Swim Season Extension Act: "Add a second swim date — because one day a year is an insult to a Labrador."
• 🐶 Universal School Pickup: "Every child leaving Stevenson Elementary deserves to be greeted by a dog."
• 🥪 Counter Surfing Decriminalization: "In private residences only. An unattended sandwich is a shared municipal resource."
• 🐿️ Dover & 2nd Neighborhood Watch: "Continue patrols and keep the pressure on Grandview's unlicensed and unregulated squirrels."
• 👋 The Good Morning Mandate: "No neighbor passes without acknowledgment. Non-negotiable."
