Twinado Kitchen serves jerk pasta, pitas and egg rolls

• Owner Reana Jackson is the daughter of Jamaican immigrants and visited family there every summer while growing up in Florida.

What I ate: The popular Rasta Pasta — penne topped with red and green peppers, a creamy sauce, scallions and a choice of jerk-style protein. I went with classic chicken ($15.50).

The vibe: It's a no-frills restaurant with bold theming, just a few tables and takeout-friendly packaging.

💭 My thought bubble: This was my first time trying jerk chicken, and I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to decipher the dish's flavorful mix of heat, smoke and subtle sweetness.

The bottom line: Honestly, I still have no idea what's in it. All I know is it's delicious.
