Goldendoodles are Columbus' favorite dog

Tuesday is National Dog Day and goldendoodles are Columbus' top dog, according to a new U.S. News & World Report analysis.
The big picture: American pit bull terriers are Ohio's most popular breed.
- Labrador retrievers are No. 1 nationwide, with doodles No. 7 and pit bulls No. 4.
The fine print: The annual report relies on pet insurance data, so it doesn't account for all dogs in the country.
- It's also tricky to track mutt popularity. The study counted "mixed breed," "pit bull," and labels like "German shepherd mix" as separate categories.
