Crew Review Week 10: A set roster … for now

On the field: Another dicey victory, beating the San Jose Earthquakes 2-1 at home in a match with a lot of chances in both directions.

The big picture: The Crew will likely sign a star later this summer, when European leagues are in their offseasons.

• The secondary window: July 24-Aug. 21.

Catch up quick: After a quiet offseason with more departures than additions, the Crew ended their primary window with a flurry of activity.

• First, they spent $4 million on Designated Player Dániel Gazdag, a much-needed proven goal threat.
• Next, they traded wingback DeJuan Jones to the Earthquakes.
• Finally, they traded for Houston Dynamo attacker Aliyu Ibrahim.
