Ohio State is among dozens of colleges and universities being investigated by the Trump administration for alleged antisemitism tied to campus protests.
Why it matters: President Trump threatened last week to pull federal funding from colleges he accused of allowing "illegal protests" on campus.
State of play: The Department of Education announced Monday that it had sent letters to five dozen universities warning of "potential enforcement actions" for not fulfilling obligations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act to protect Jewish students.
OSU had not received the administration's letter as of yesterday afternoon, spokesperson Ben Johnson told Axios.
"Ohio State has no tolerance for antisemitism, discrimination or hatred," he added.
Flashback: Campuses on the list — including OSU and Columbia — were epicenters of the pro-Palestinian protests that led to hundreds of arrests starting last spring.
Last week, Trump revoked some $400 million in federal grants and contracts from Columbia, citing "continued inaction in the face of persistent harassment of Jewish students."
