How does Columbus Crew goalkeeper Patrick Schulte like to spend his off-field time?

  • For the latest installment of our Best Day Ever series, we checked in with the 23-year-old, who's fresh off his Champions Cup heroics and is training with the USA men's under 23 team, preparing for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

🪕 Music to start your day: Depends on my mood, but I would probably start my day off with a little bit of country. Then maybe some rap from Lil Baby after that.

🥞 Breakfast: Creekside Cafe with teammates Philip Quinton, Sean Zawadzki and Will Sands for a tall stack of chocolate chip pancakes with a side of hash browns, and maybe a cinnamon roll or some French toast. We go large for breakfast!

🏌️ Morning activity: Golfing at either at New Albany Country Club or Pinnacle.

🥗 Lunch: Northstar Café. I'm not particular on what I'd get. Everything on the menu is good.

⚽ Afternoon activity: A Crew 2 game at Historic Crew Stadium when they play on Sundays.

  • I also like to go on trail walks, especially in the summertime, to clear my mind and stay active.
  • I do want to start fishing, but I don't know where to fish and I'd have to buy gear.

🥩 Dinner: Either Lindey's or The Avenue Steak Tavern. I would get a filet mignon from either with a Caesar salad on the side.

🍦 Evening activity: Dessert at Whit's for a vanilla Whitser with chocolate chips.

  • Then I'd go home to wrap up my day and get on Xbox and play with my friends.
