A taste of Philadelphia has come to Hilliard with the recent opening of Hoagie City.
Munching the news: Tyler, a mega lover of cheesesteaks, checked out the new restaurant last week and was greeted by a packed lunch counter dedicated to the City of Brotherly Love.
- The restaurant logo features the Liberty Bell while a "Rocky" poster is tucked in the corner.
- The bread, potato chips and condiments all come from Philadelphia-area brands.
- Most cloyingly is this sign behind the counter: "Don't make me use my Philly voice."
💠Tyler's thought bubble: I'll be the first to admit a great cheesesteak can be hard to come by in Ohio. Cap City Fine Diner serves up a pretty mean one.
- Hoagie City, though, has the best I've had since moving to Columbus. Break out the napkins and dig in.
If you go: 3870 Main St., Hilliard, 10am-7pm. Closed on Sundays.
