The best thing I drank this week was the tiramisu latte from Atmos Coffee in Detroit Shoreway.
State of play: Atmos is one of two new coffee shops that opened on Detroit Avenue in March.
- I'd already tried the other, Vessel Coffee Collaborative, and had been eager to check out Atmos' signature drink, about which I'd seen rave reviews on Instagram.
Verdict: A decadent dessert in a glass.
- I ordered the most popular format (iced, with whole milk), and it arrived creamy, frothy and topped with cocoa powder.
- At $7.50, it's $2-$3 more than the standard coffee drinks on offer, but worth it for an occasional treat.
Vibe check: On a weekday morning, Atmos was busy but not crowded with young remote workers tapping away at their laptops.
- With its soothing lighting and array of seating options (private booths, circular tables, a comfy couch), it looked like a spot I'd be happy to spend a few hours.
